Now that the long awaited vox.io mobile app for iPhone is finally here, calling, messaging and starting conversations has never been so easy. We know that it took quite some time to develop as it underwent several iterations, but we were working hard to capture the same magic that makes vox.io great in your browser, while also making sure that the app would both work and feel great.

Group calls

After improving our video call experience, we’ve released a trial of our iPhone app to the wild (a.k.a. the App Stores in Slovenia and Croatia).

The response has been astonishing. We’ve jumped to #1 in the Social Networking category in just the first few hours! We know you are all eager to try vox.io for iPhone, so don’t worry, it’ll be available in many more countries soon.

Thanks to your feedback, we’ve heard from many of you that you would like to see better video call quality on vox.io. Your wish is our command – we have recently implemented a much better encoded video call functionality that consumes less of your internet bandwidth and delivers better quality.

We’ve seen that you love our Quick Call links so we’ve decided to make them a bit funkier. First, we ditched our previous structure for Quick Call links (vox.io/qc/something) and changed them to vox.me/something. Quick calls are not only easier this way, but more straightforward.
